We are happy to announce that our newest team member, Eaman Fahmy, will joining Pillar on January 6, 2020 as our Inclusive Program Designer. Eaman is a community organizer with a passion for equity and inclusion. She will be joining our Social Innovation Cluster to work with the Women of Ontario Social Enterprise Network and other possibilities as they emerge.
Previously, she has engaged in outreach and advocacy as Constituency Assistant for the London North Centre MPP, as Parent Engagement Lead for Thames Valley District School Board, and through her volunteer work with the Community Engagement Committee of the Muslim Association of Canada, London Chapter. After researching the impact intersectional identities and power dynamics have on marginalized communities, she developed and facilitated training on anti-oppressive practices. She believes we all have a responsibility to continuously self-reflect, learn, and leverage our privilege.
