42nd Annual Geranium Heritage House Tour

Our perennially popular Geranium Heritage House Tour is a self-paced architectural walking tour held every spring on the first Sunday of June.

This year we'll be back in Old East to explore the history and architecture of this vibrant historic neighbourhood. Our last Geranium Tour there sold out in 2004 so buy your tickets early!

This thriving community won the 2014 People’s Choice Award for Great Neighbourhood in the Canadian Institute of Planners’ Great Places in Canada contest and is the second largest Heritage Conservation District in Ontario (created in 2006).

The Geranium Tour will feature guided interior tours of nine houses with architectural and historical significance. Ticket price includes a keepsake tour booklet with descriptions and historic photographs of the area’s heritage streetscapes as well as refreshments. Tour begins at Lorne Avenue Public School.

Our pop-up shop will also be selling tour booklets from previous years so visitors can explore our city’s many other historic neighbourhoods on their own. Share tour photos with us on social media using our #GHHT2015 hashtag!

Our 80+ volunteers will welcome you with warm smiles and a treasure trove of knowledge.

Potted red geraniums, generously donated Parkway Gardens, mark the homes open for interior visits - hence the name of our tour!

Proceeds from the tour help support our heritage advocacy, education, and restoration projects.
