Standing Up and Speaking Out Self-Advocacy Workshop

Standing Up and Speaking Out Self-Advocacy Workshop

Date: Tuesday, August 18, 2020

Time: 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Eastern time

Description: As people who are blind or partially sighted, we are often spoken for by able bodied people in our lives, such as family, friends, or medical professionals. By learning about self-advocacy, we can gain the skills to use our voices and lived experience to create positive change for ourselves and our communities. This workshop will provide you with information about how to be a self-advocate and resources to help you on your self-advocacy journey. Join us on August 18, 2020, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time  as we build the skills to stand up and speak out for our rights. To register for this workshop, please contact Larissa Proctor at larissa.proctor@cnib.ca, or Kathleen Forestell at kathleen.forestell@cnib.ca.

Whether you're looking for volunteer opportunities,
networking events or a job in the nonprofit sector, we can help.
