The Walk to Defeat Duchenne raises money for Jesse’s Journey, the only Canadian charity that exists solely to fund Duchenne muscular dystrophy research. Because of the generous donations from our walkers and supporters, Jesse’s Journey has been able to grant over $10 million to fund the most promising research projects worldwide.
This is an annual event, and is one of the largest fundraisers for Jesse’s Journey. Walkers will complete an 8.25km course through Springbank Park. Some will choose to walk the route 4 times, to honour the 33km John Davidson, Jesse's Journey Founder, walked each of the 286 days he was on the road walking across Canada in 1998.
