London Cares is currently seeking a Manager of Housing Services. 

 

The Manager of Housing Services will serve as an integral member of London Cares Leadership team bringing a thoughtful and strategic leadership style with a calming presence to our organization.

 

In this role you will work collaboratively with the Executive Director to set program deliverables for both the Housing Stability and Housing Selection teams. This will include developing and implementing plans and then evaluating and reporting on the progress made towards the organization’s goals. Data collection for reporting purposes is key to your role and you will be required to develop an advanced level user knowledge of the organization’s database to act as our lead for training, updates and troubleshooting.

 

You will hold responsibility for the selection, direct supervision and training of the Housing Selection Team and Housing Stability Team Lead including performance management and development.  As a member of the leadership team you will be required to participate in the regular supervisory on-call schedule.

 

As the Manager of Housing Services you will build strong relationships and collaboration with community partners and agencies, participate in meetings within the London Homeless Prevention Network and facilitate and participate in multiagency case conferences with community partners

 

This is a full-time position and will generally be scheduled Monday to Friday. Our compensation package includes a competitive salary ($58,00-$65,000 annually), a comprehensive benefit package and 3 weeks of vacation to start.

You will be an excellent candidate for the Manager of Housing Services role if you have the following:

  • Degree in Social Services field
  • G Driver’s license and valid insurance
  • 5 years of supervisory experience working in a social services environment, preferably in a Housing First organization
  • Experience with program and service oversight and delivery including case management oversight and policy and procedure development
  • System navigation knowledge and skills, including knowledge of local community resources is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a person-centered, strengths-based approach when working with vulnerable individuals who are experiencing homelessness with complex needs of untreated mental health, addictions and trauma, crisis.
  • Experience in providing supervision and knowledge of the Employment Standards Act
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and deliver educational presentations

 

All employees must be able to provide a clear police vulnerable sector record check.
