Reporting to the Director of Employment and Housing Services, the Youth Wellness Hub Project Coordinator will be responsible for the development of the Youth Wellness Hub initiative in London and Middlesex County.  Key priorities related to this include partnership development, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, forming the youth and family advisory committees, forming the Youth Wellness Hub staffing team, planning and executing minor capital renovations including overseeing construction project monitoring project development to ensure it develops within budget and creating awareness and support of the project among funders, neighbors, and partner organizations.  The project coordinator will guide the development of the project throughout pre-operational phase. Responsibilities:

  • Creating youth service model based on Youth Wellness Hub guide and vetting these through community advisors; with recommendations for implementation to YOU leadership

  • Creating policy and procedure recommendations that will support approved program models

  • Recruiting and engaging advisors representing youth, family, community partners and community leaders

  • Facilitating brainstorming sessions, and monthly meetings with advisory committees.

  • Recommendation of program locations and design of Youth Wellness hub space in consultation with youth and family advisory groups, partner agencies and other agreed upon stakeholders

  • Overseeing minor capital application and construction schedule based on budget, resources and funding agreement

  • Establishing contacts with leading youth wellness hub organizations in Ontario to gather advice and share information leading towards best practices for London & Middlesex’s Youth Wellness Hub

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of post-secondary education at a college or university level in a social service, project management, or community development field
  • Possess excellent youth engagement, relationship building capacities
  • Possess strong communication skills and have project management experience. 
  • Previous leadership experience in a youth led organization is preferred. 
  • Computer knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and Internet is essential.
