TL;DR The future is unknown, but Pillar Nonprofit Network will no longer be actively facilitating the Pillar Online Community.
We launched the Pillar Online Community in the summer of 2018 in hopes of providing a virtual space for collaboration and co-conspiracy for the network. We thank all of you here for joining in that work, and there have been tremendous successes and real value for some. The most successful use cases have encouraged us to re-tool so that this space will continue as a virtual home for programs and communities of practice . You might already, or sometime in the future, use this platform in that way.
At Pillar we embrace and engage with our own failures and try to learn from them. Engagement on this platform is not at the level that we had envisioned and hoped for the network. One of our takeaways is that we mustn’t divert resources from the programs that more members of our network are still seeking and leaning into. Always seeking to provide the best supports possible to the network, we are suspending active animation of this space. Communities of practice will remain. Please reach out if you want to hear more about how you can convene a group on this platform .
