Position Description

 Camp Kee-Mo-Kee is looking for a Board Member who is willing to serve as Secretary for our financially strong organization.  We are a United Church summer camp that touches the lives of over 3,000 children and youth each year.  We are doing exciting things at Kee-Mo-Kee and welcome you to join our team! We are located in Komoka, but hold board meetings in the City of London.

Responsible to: Corporation Membership

 General Responsibilities: To keep the records of the organization.

 Risk Assessment:

All board members are required to provide a satisfactory Police Record Check.

 Limits & Boundaries:

This position is a Board position. All board member terms are for 3 years.  The Secretary is a member of the Executive Committee.  All Executive Committee positions are voted on annually by the current Board at the first meeting after the AGM in March. 

 Direct Responsibilities:

  • Maintain list of members
  • Record minutes of board meetings and distribute to board members and United Church Supervising Council
  • Maintain distribution list and contact list for board members
  • Maintain archives


Additional Opportunity Information

This position requires approximately 4 hours per month of time, more if you choose to sit on a committee.

Skills Preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Word
Advanced Language Skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivator with ability to meet monthly timelines
