Children’s Health Foundation is seeking energetic, reliable, and passionate volunteers to serve on our Signature Event Work Teams.

Each year, Children’s Health Foundation hosts three signature events (Golf Classic, Wine, Women & Shoes, and Magical Winter Ball), each of which requires its own volunteer work team. Team members work in partnership with Children’s Health Foundation staff to achieve the goals of our signature events and their related activities, namely: fundraising, celebration, outreach, and education.

Contributing your time and talents to a signature event work team is a meaningful opportunity to give back to your community and support excellence in children’s health care and research at Children’s Hospital, TVCC, and Children’s Health Research Institute, all while meeting like-minded individuals and having fun! Our signature events raise significant funds that are critical to our health care partners.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Connect caring people to our cause by working with Foundation staff to identify and cultivate relationships with individuals and organizations to support our signature events through

    o Sponsorship and donor funds in support of the financial goals           of the event.

    o Securing auction donations and coordinating their pick-up and           delivery.

• Contribute to the promotion of the event through personal and professional networks.

• Contribute feedback and suggestions for discussion and that will advance the goals of the event and Children’s Health Foundation.

• Attend the event as a work team member and/or volunteer.

• Participate in evaluating the event and make recommendations for the subsequent years.

• Commit to the mission and vision of Children’s Health Foundation, positively representing the Foundation in your responsibilities on the work team.

Time Commitment:

Minimum one (1) year. One-hour monthly meetings are held, with additional meetings added prior to the event. Estimated time: 4-6 hours per month.


• Golf Classic: September through August – Event: July 6, 2022

• Wine, Women & Shoes: September through July - Event: June 2, 2022

• Magical Winter Ball: March through December – Event: December 3, 2021

Skills Preferred: 
Strong leadership abilities and experience with organization, problem-solving and communications
Previous experience in securing sponsorship, event planning, and knowledge of fundraising would be an asset.
Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines.
Desire to be part of a volunteer team, learning about and fundraising for a great cause, while positively representing Children’s Health Foundation.
