The Board of Directors for the Learning Disabilities Association - London Region is embarking on a new period of growth which has enabled the organization to create a new role to continue building our successes. We are searching for a dynamic,fund development expert to join our small but thriving team.

The organization's movement toward a comprehensive growth and sustainability plan involves setting a strategic vision for Fund Development including but not limited to:

·         Major donor giving

·         Corporate and foundation giving

·         Signature events and third party fundraising

Total time commitment is estimated to be about 3-5 hours a week and can be done remotely be collaborating with the rest of the board.

Skills Preferred: 
Strong sense of professionalism & a desire to succeed
A university Degree or College Diploma (or working toward) in a field related to business, communications, fundraising, marketing, or PR
Demonstrated successful special events and sponsorship procurement
Sense of humour to sustain working under pressure to changing priorities yet delivering on time and within budget to high customer satisfaction
Passion for and engagement in LDA-London Region’s vision, mission and values
Collaborative nature yet with decisive, independent problem solving skills
Highly organized with ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
Strong work management style including organization, time management, multi-tasking, priority setting and attention to detail
Persuasive communication (creative writing and editing as well as compelling presentations with an eye toward strong PR strategy)
Creativity and innovation in thinking and executing
Additional Opportunity Information: 
• Work with the Board of Directors by taking a proactive role in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of gifts to LDA-LR. • Responsible for programs which advance and develop the agency ensuring they are integrated with the goals of the strategic plans of LDA-LR. • Develop and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship program, including donor relations and recognition and gift processing. • Implement fundraising programs (Annual Fund, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Special Events). • Planning and managing a budget for Fund Development • Prepare fundraising strategies, reports and forecasts for LDA-LR Executive Director and Fund Development Committee • Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects—identify, cultivate and solicit individuals, corporations, foundations. • Provide professional support and assistance to LDA-LR Executive Director and Fund Development Committee • Develop and sustain strong working relationships with staff and Board; engaging and involving them in fundraising and/or donor relations activity where appropriate. • Establish strong relationships with all supporting Community Partners
Skills Preferred: 
Previous experience in fund development
