The Welcome Desk Volunteer Program is a work-exchange. You give us 4.5 hours a week of welcome desk support and we give you access to Innovation Works Flex Desk space, our dynamic community, and all the other benefits of being a co-tenant of Innovation Works and a member of Pillar Nonprofit Network.

 Our Welcome Desk Volunteers are the first face people see when they arrive at our space and their skills and presence set the tone. They excel in customer service, organization, communication and problem solving. They’re connectors of ideas and people and with over 100 Innovation Works co-tenants, you’ll meet a lot of people! 

We focus on ensuring your volunteer needs are met - often matching you to other organizations and opportunities that “fill your cup”!  Being a volunteer with Innovation Works you are part of the network and get many benefits as part of Pillar Nonprofit Network. You can participate in professional development opportunities, connect with business, nonprofit and social entrepreneurs and join in on our work to connect people, spark impact and build a more engaged, inclusive and vibrant community.

Required Qualifications/Training: 
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills

Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work in high traffic areas, juggling multiple requests at times

Hours: Volunteers are scheduled to the same 4.5 hour shift every week for four months. This shift will either be from 8:15am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4:45pm on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
