Prevention Outreach Team Member - Day Time Availability

*Attend a monthly, prevention meeting, 2nd Saturday of month, 10 am-12:00 pm, Sept - June

*Meetings are a shared, leadership opportunity so team members have the opportunity to lead and organize agenda items

*facilitate displays and presentations to community and corporate groups on Canadian Cancer Society prevention topics and initiatives, year-round

*complete follow up calls to community groups who have made inquiries about guest speakers or having a display

*initiate phone calls to new community groups or contacts as a way to introduce what the Canadian Cancer Society has available for outreach opportunities

*preparation and organization of brochures, displays for events (twice a month)

*Attend and participate in Canadian Cancer Society special events such as Mudmoiselle and CIBC Run for the Cure

*learn and utilize Society messages and presentation tools

*Adhere to all Canadian Cancer Society policies, procedures, standards and guidelines

Required Qualifications/Training: 
Previous public speaking or presentation experience an asset
Skills Preferred: 
Leadership and facilitation skills
Friendly and comfortable speaking to a variety of people
Strong organization and planning skills
Comfort with using audio-visual equipment, email, word, powerpoint
Passionate about healthy living
Ability to lift and carry materials
Access to a vehicle an asset (mileage reimbursement available)
