Position: Volunteer Receptionist/Admin position

Reports To: Programs' Director & Volunteer Coordinator

Summary: The Receptionist/Admin Volunteer is responsible for the day-to-day reception duties at Nokee Kwe.

Purpose: To act as an initial contact for walk-ins, visitors and phone calls at Nokee Kwe. Direct clients to the most appropriate service for their employment needs-intake, counselling, or workshops. Receive clients, visitors and community partners in the waiting area for scheduled appointments. To assist with administrative duties as needed

Relationships: Programs' Director, Nokee Kwe staff, volunteers, external partners and vendors

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive telephone inquiries and determine the nature of the inquiry; redirect calls or respond to routine inquiries about Nokee Kwe and its programs

• Distribute communications to the appropriate voice mail extension and/or take a written message

• Schedule potential clients to meet with our information resource counsellors, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed

• Welcome and greet the workshop participants, and instruct them to wait for the workshop facilitator to bring them to the classroom

• Handle all facets of incoming and outgoing mail; receive courier packages and vendor orders

• Perform administrative duties such as typing, data entry, maintaining records and forms

Required Qualifications/Training: 
Experience working in an office setting or willingness to learn with office administration education
