The London Community Players/Palace Theatre Wardrobe Department is looking for help with sewing projects for the 2019-2020 Season! If you enjoy sewing and have experience, we would love to have to you join the team.
We are looking for people who have a basic to advanced skill level and can follow instructions with minimal supervision, assist with hemming, simple alterations, hand sewing buttons and snaps, create new items from a commercial sewing pattern and create simple to more complex items.
This is a flexible time commitment, the need for sewing projects will vary from production to production, both in volume and in skill level. You may help with one or multiple projects based on your availability, and sewing projects will be done at home, allowing you the opportunity to work when you have time available. Having a personal sewing machine is preferred, but sewing machines are available for sign-out.
All sewing projects will be distributed by the Costume Designer for each LCP production, and will be assigned based on sewing skills & experience. All materials needed, basic instruction and a due date will be provided with each sewing project.
For anyone who is new to sewing and would like to learn more about helping with costumes for LCP Productions, stay tuned this fall for workshops on the basics of sewing!
