On December 5th 2016, I attended a workshop titled Exploring Power and Privilege, facilitated by Mojdeh Cox of the Canadian Labour Congress in partnership with Pillar Nonprofit Network and Family Service Thames Valley. It was intended to be a follow-up to the Community Forum on Racism held on September 7th 2016. The target audience and primary attendees of the workshop were executive directors, board members, and senior managers in the nonprofit sector.

The Old East Village Grocer opened its doors, softly, to begin their social enterprise journey and strengthen their mission to support people with disabilities. ATN Access Inc. worked on the OEV Grocer business plan for almost two years, and exploring ways to finance a startup social enterprise that would support people with disabilities gain employment.

My experience at Solutions Lab was unique to say the least. I walked into it not entirely sure what to expect, but what I found was nothing short of amazing.
