Michelle Baldwin, Executive Director of Pillar Nonprofit Network, has been appointed to the Premier's Advisory Council on Community Hubs.
The group will work with the Premier's Special Advisor, Karen Pitre, to review provincial policies and develop a framework for adapting existing public assets to become community hubs. A community hub can be a school, a neighbourhood centre or another public space that offers co-ordinated services such as education, health care and social services.
Michelle is looking forward to working with the advisory group to provide advice on the best way to move forward on this complex and important issue. The first step is to convene the advisory group with more detailed plans for public consultation to follow.
