Our 1st meeting of the 2024-2025 Speaker Series will kick off on Thurs September 12, 2024, at 2 – 3pm at DoubleTree by Hilton, 2nd Floor Ballroom (300 King St, London).
Not only will our keynote speaker be Josh Morgan, Mayor of London speaking on “Addressing Homelessness and Affordable Housing,” but we will be joined by a group of 4 Youth Speakers.
At the end of March 2022, the Art department of John Paul II Catholic Secondary School was approached by the Children’s Hospital, London to “spice up their hallways”, and this creative project began. Under the leadership of Visual Arts teacher Christine Mancini, a group of 80 students designed and painted the 10 colourful, welcoming and inspirational murals that now grace their halls in their Paediatric Inpatient Unit, Children’s Hospital.
Joining us will be Ilona Netishenska, Kinza Hanook, Hannah Sanchez Tostado and Luis Garcia.
Come and hear these 4 highly creative and amazing students speak of their experiences and learnings as they participated on this “Art from the Heart” project.
