This free investment readiness program is a financial empowerment journey designed exclusively for equity deserving women and non-binary entrepreneurs.
It provides a supportive community and a knowledge based approach to help you master financial literacy, build a sustainable business, and harness the momentum needed for lasting success.
Workshop Highlights
The Financial Literacy workshop is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge of financial terms and concepts, laying the groundwork for a solid understanding of entrepreneurial finance, whether you're a novice in the world of finance or looking to refresh your understanding. This is also your go-to guide for acquiring foundational knowledge of financial terms and concepts for subsequent Momentum workshops.

Eligibility Criteria
This program is for women and non-binary entrepreneurs of colour who meet the following criteria:
- Identify as a woman or non-binary entrepreneur of colour
- Age 18 or over
- Located anywhere in Southwestern Ontario
- Plan to seek funding within the next two years
- In operation with some existing revenue and customers (but not necessary)

About the Facilitator
Pauline Hare is a business owner and bookkeeper with 20 years of experrience in accounting roles. Pauline is passionate about empowering gender & sexual minorities in Canada to achieve equitable economic, health and social outcomes.
With lived experience as a gender & sexual minority, having overcome financial scarcity & health challenges, Pauline found a way to turn her passion into a career.
This virtual program is part of a national collaborative of organizations, The Women and Nonbinary Impact Network for Venture Capital (WIN-VC), working to provide services, programming, events, and dedicated resources to women and non-binary entrepreneurs and gender lens investors across Canada who are working towards becoming investment ready and increasing the pool of investors driven to invest in these ventures.
WIN-VC acknowledges the support of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada. ISED has awarded funding for WIN-VC that will make the venture capital environment more inclusive for women by transforming traditional investment processes, processes and knowledge into respectful and meaningful approaches that value equity and impact with a focus on diverse women and non-binary entrepreneurs and SMEs including Black communities, Indigenous peoples, racialized populations, persons with a disability, 2SLGBTQ2+ and new Canadians.
