When rain, snow, and severe weather affect our city, London is ready to respond.
The next Green in the City event will share how the City of London prepares for emergencies caused by severe weather. This event will include tours of the City’s Emergency Operations Centre and presentations about London’s future weather. You’ll also learn about how to prepare your home for an emergency and how to assemble a 72-hour emergency kit, you can also enter your name into a draw to take one home FREE!
Climate change is causing more frequent severe weather. This can potentially lead to flooding, property damage, and power outages. London has developed a Climate Emergency Action Plan to respond to the impacts of climate change. An important part of this plan is helping Londoner prepare for emergencies caused by weather.
Free to attend. Drop in to the library between 4:00pm and 7:30pm.

- 5:00 pm - Tour of the City's Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). Reserve your spot when you confirm your ticket. We can accommodate up to 20 people on the tour which first meets at the library.

*For the EOC tours, meet downstairs in the Byron library and walk over as a group.
