We are excited to welcome Siham Elkassem, Jennifer McIntosh and Alexander Summers to Pillar Nonprofit Network's Board of Directors!

 

Siham Elkassem

Siham Elkassem is a Child and Family Therapist for the Community Services team at Vanier Children’s Services.  She is an active Muslim community member in London, assisting in many projects that help to build capacity from within her community. 

Siham is currently pursuing her PhD at Memorial University, in the School of Social work. Her academic and clinical work blends, in equal measures, research, community activism and her therapy practice. Siham resides in Southwestern Ontario with her partner and three children



Jennifer McIntosh

As the Human Relations Manager at the London-based Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, Jennifer McIntosh has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. With an extensive background in both Human Resources and Volunteer Management, Jennifer is dedicated to enthusiastic and dynamic collaborations and partnerships as a means of creating community change and impact. She is committed to creating organizational cultures of wellness that nurture, support and empower employees and volunteers. 

When not spending time with her husband and wrangling her two wicked-smart and hilarious daughters, Jennifer serves as Treasurer on the Forest City Volleyball Club Board. She finds joy in skating with her London Figure Skating Club synchronized team and loves nourishing her gardens in the early morning light.


Alexander Summers

Alex Summers is the Associate Medical Officer of Health at the Middlesex-London Health Unit. Following medical school at Queen’s University, he completed his training in family medicine and public health and preventive medicine at the University of Toronto. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree, with a focus on quantitative methods, from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

In his current portfolio, he provides consultation on environmental health and communicable diseases, oversees population health assessment and surveillance activities, and helps to provide strategic direction for the organization.
