Youth Changing the World One Volunteer and One Hour at a Time

Pillar Nonprofit Network championed the Ontario-wide ChangeTheWorld Youth Volunteer Challenge for the 2016 campaign, which ran from April 10th-May23rd. The local goals for the campaign were 2200 youth completing 6600 hours.

Final numbers have been tallied and we are ecstatic to announce that London and area schools, nonprofit organizations, and youth groups engaged:

4,216 youth and 17, 324 volunteer hours!

Some of the activities youth partook in were: community clean ups, food drives, cancer awareness and fundraising campaigns, other awareness and fundraising campaigns, tree planting events, helped to facilitate senior or children's programming, helped to build homes for low-income families and other activities.

Congratulations to all of the youth who are making a difference in our community.

Pillar would like to extend a special thank you to Deanna Theander, 2016 ChangeTheWorld coordinator, whose tireless efforts and enthusiasm contributed to the success of the campaign.
