Victim Services of Middlesex-London (VSML) Volunteer Crisis Responders provide immediate on-scene emotional support, practical assistance, information and referrals to victims, winesses and their family members.

Crisis Responder Volunteers are On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and are accessed by Police and Emergency Service.

Teams of 2 Volunteers respond immediately to requests for victim assistance from emergency personnel by attending on site throughout London, Strathroy and Middlesex County. Volunteers may attend personal residence, hospitals, police stations or public places and may be exposed to the natural elements, smoke filled rooms, animals.

Volunteer training sessions occur twice a year and consist of 35 online training hours, and 30 in class training (2 full Saturdays and 5 weekday evenings)

Required Qualifications/Training: 
Middlesex County; valid driver's licence; access to vehicle; vulnerable screening check; 18 or over.
