The Brain Injury Association of London & Region (BIALR) is seeking passionate, dedicated volunteers to help support individuals living with acquired brain injury and their families throughout London, Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Oxford, Central Elgin and West Elgin.
Whether you have a few hours a month or are looking for a leadership opportunity, we have a variety of meaningful volunteer roles available.
Leadership Volunteers – Committee Members & Chairs
Help shape the future of BIALR by serving in a leadership role on one of our committees. We are looking for volunteers who can contribute their skills, experience, and ideas to support our mission and strategic priorities.
Current opportunities include:
- Fundraising Committee
- Events Committee
- Volunteer Engagement Committee
Leadership volunteers help guide projects, provide recommendations, build community connections, and support organizational growth.
Event Volunteers
Join our team of event volunteers and help bring community events, awareness campaigns, and fundraising activities to life.
Volunteer tasks may include:
- Event setup and teardown
- Registration and guest support
- Activity coordination
- Information booths
- Community outreach
- Fundraising support
This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for flexible volunteer opportunities and occasional involvement throughout the year.
Program Support Volunteers
BIALR offers peer support, education and social connection opportunities for brain injury survivors and caregivers. We are seeking compassionate volunteers to assist with programs and support groups throughout our service region.
Opportunities may include:
- Assisting with support groups
- Co-facilitating discussions
- Helping organize activities and educational sessions
- Providing peer support and encouragement
- Supporting virtual and in-person programming
We are particularly interested in volunteers who may be willing to serve in one of our communities: London/Middlesex, Huron County, Perth County, Oxford County, Central Elgin, West Elgin.
Training and ongoing support will be provided.
Administrative Support Volunteers
From time to time, BIALR requires volunteers to assist with administrative projects, including:
- Data entry
- Mailings
- Office organization
- Resource preparation
- Special projects
- Calling campaigns
These opportunities are ideal for individuals who enjoy behind-the-scenes work that helps strengthen our programs and services.
