A diagnosis of cancer in a child is devastating. Besides the incredible emotional toll it takes on the family and, of course, the child, it is estimated that one-third of a family’s net income will be redirected to costs incurred while their child is in treatment. Often, one parent will have to leave their employment during this time. The financial and emotional impact on families can be unbearable. This is why, each year, we hold the Childcan Walk.
