ReconciliACTION - Understanding Indigenous Homelessness

ReconciliACTION is back, focusing on strengthening and building radical relationalities towards collaborative, equitable and just futures we can all see ourselves in.

ReconciliACTION started as an educational initiative designed to bring grassroots, community organizations, academics and community members together to hear about the work being done towards Reconciliation in the Forest City and beyond, and collectively dream about what ReconciliACTION looks like in your own organization, school and around the dinner table.

In the spirit of bringing communities together, on April 23, Atlohsa Family Services is collaborating with Pillar Nonprofit Network and Cross Cultural Learner Centre to bring newcomer, immigrant, Indigenous and London community members together to discuss how we can show up for one another. Atlohsa will be presenting Indigenous-developed education about Indigenous homelessness, which focuses on Indigenous experiences of displacement, colonization, and what it means to be homeless in your own homelands.

Throughout the day, join our Conversation Cafes—spaces designed to develop meaningful relationships and foster community solidarity. Come learn about the unique aspects of Indigenous homelessness in Canada, and connect over the shared realities of newcomer, immigrant, and Indigenous community members in London. Open to everyone.
