Housekeeper - Nights

Mission Services of London is a non-profit social service agency dedicated to serving residents of London and Middlesex County with compassion and dignity. Men’s Mission and Rotholme Family Shelters of Mission Services of London are seeking a full-time Night Housekeeper. This role will be under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean efficient manner.
  • Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, including but not limited to vacuums, polishers, and buffers.
  • Ensure the facility remains sanitary and free from infection through proper cleaning, disinfection, and replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance concerns to the Maintenance department and/or Manager.
  • Maintain storage areas in a clean, organized, and hazard-free condition, in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is used and maintained in compliance with Public Health regulations and internal Health and Safety policies.
  • Provide service to residents that are consistent with MSL values.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent life experience.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, First Aid, CPI
  • 6 months to 1 year experience with housekeeping, preferably in a residential/nursing home setting.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and perform tasks independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Night shifts – 40 hours per week.
