Summer Camp Inclusion Counsellor

 SARI Therapeutic Riding is a charitable organization that provides adaptive equine programming for people with disabilities. We are currently seeking applicants to the position(s) of Camp Inclusion Counsellor with a passion to create a memorable summer camp experience for children of all abilities aged 6 to 18 years.

The Camp Inclusion Counsellor will assist the Camp Director with planning and implementing daily camp activities for groups of 12 children, including horseback riding, games, crafts, sing-alongs and other fun camp activities.

The Camp Inclusion Counsellor will work cooperatively with volunteers and respond to the physical and emotional needs of the campers with a special focus on ensuring accessibility and inclusion for all campers remains a top priority.

Successful applications will demonstrate a positive attitude, long-lasting energy, creativity, flexibility, and a strong desire to work as part of a team.

Eligibility:

• Open to youth aged 15-30 (age range in alignment with funding opportunities)
• First Aid and CPR certification is required before camp program begins
• Experience working with children with special needs is required
• Experience with horses is an asset
• Police & vulnerable sector check required
