On March 6, Pillar CEO Maureen Cassidy shared insights on Pillar’s impact work at a networking event hosted by the London Chamber of Commerce. She emphasized the importance of advancing shared vision and goals through collaboration, networking, and advocacy.
This week we bid farewell to Paul Seale, Pillar’s Manager of Public Policy and Advocacy, who is moving on after five years of fierce advocacy, thoughtful community building, and an unwavering commitment to systems change.
Teens Get Involved London Ontario (TeensGILO) began after Founder Bayan Saidam nearly missed a scholarship deadline in her graduating year of high school, prompting her to wonder how many other opportunities young people were potentially missing out on because they didn’t know about them.
A year and a half ago, staff from the London InterCommunity Health Centre and the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection came together with a shared vision. They wanted to create a safe space for racialized staff working in nonprofit organizations to connect, network, and honor unique perspectives in an informal environment.
The Forest City Film Festival (FCFF) began in 2015 around Founder and Executive Director Dorothy Down’s kitchen table with a group of people dedicated to enhancing local film culture. That same year, Dorothy formed a Board of Directors and the FCFF quickly sought out registered charitable status.
As part of our new Pillar Nonprofit Network membership restructure, we’re delighted to offer FREE access every Tuesday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM starting September 17, 2024 to our nonprofit coworking space, INNOVATION WORKS!
Since 2018, Type Diabeat-It has focused on addressing diabetes risks in BPOC communities. During the pandemic, Mystery was looking for space where she could hold cooking classes. Pillar Nonprofit Network was glad to offer Mystery use of the second floor kitchen and flex desk space at Innovation Works.
