Humana Community Services is currently seeking engaged community members and strategic thinkers to join our governance Board of Directors to boldly guide and shape the future of our work.
Who We Are
Humana Community Services (Humana) is a registered charity and licensed social services agency supporting the mental health and developmental needs of children, youth and adults. Since its inception, Humana has continued to grow in direct response to the needs of our community.
Humana's 180+ highly trained staff provide specialized supports and services to individuals and families in London-Middlesex, Chatham-Kent and Huron counties.
Who You Are
A community member who is passionate about making a difference and whose personal values align with Humana’s core values.
Individuals with a broad range of life experiences that may include a personal connection to mental health and/or developmental disabilities are invited to apply. Experience and understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and justice is an asset.
Candidates must reside in one of the geographic regions served by Humana which includes: London-Middlesex, Chatham-Kent and Huron counties.
The Process
To ensure the best possible decision-making environment, preference will be given to candidates that broaden the diversity of the board in areas such as ethnicity, race, culture, gender, gender identity, age, ability, and constructive areas of expertise and lived experience.
Directors are expected to attend an orientation session and monthly board meetings held in the evening the last Tuesday of each month, except in July, August and December. Opportunities for board committee involvement and participation at events will exist throughout the year.
