Help Shape the Future of Creativity in London

Board of Directors – TAP Centre for Creativity

TAP Centre for Creativity is seeking committed and community-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors at a pivotal moment of renewal and growth.

Located in the heart of downtown London, TAP is a multidisciplinary arts hub dedicated to supporting artists, fostering creativity, and creating space for connection through exhibitions, programming, and community engagement. TAP plays a vital role in the local arts ecosystem—offering a platform for emerging and established artists while contributing to the cultural vibrancy of the city.

As a board member, you will help guide the organization through a period of stabilization and re-strengthening, contributing to governance, strategy, and long-term sustainability.

This is an opportunity to step into meaningful leadership and help shape what TAP becomes next.

What You’ll Do

Board members are responsible for providing governance oversight and supporting the organization’s mission and sustainability. Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and promoting TAP’s mission and role in the arts community
  • Staying informed on trends and issues impacting the organization and sector
  • Monitoring financial health and organizational performance
  • Supporting strong governance and ethical decision-making
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining confidentiality and avoiding conflicts of interest

Time Commitment:

  • Monthly board meetings
  • Participation on at least one committee (approx. 2–4 hours/month)
  • Attendance at the Annual General Meeting
  • Occasional participation in events, fundraisers, and community engagement

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who bring a mix of experience, curiosity, and commitment. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Clear and effective communication abilities
  • Integrity and sound judgment
  • A willingness to engage in thoughtful, sometimes complex discussions

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:

  • Accounting or Finance
  • Law or Governance
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Fundraising and Development
  • Arts and Culture

You do not need to have previous board experience—just a willingness to learn, contribute, and engage.

Why Join TAP Right Now?

TAP is in a period of transition, and that creates a unique opportunity:

  • To help rebuild and strengthen governance
  • To contribute to financial and organizational sustainability
  • To support artists and creative expression in London
  • To be part of a team shaping the next chapter of a longstanding arts organization

If you’re someone who wants to make a tangible impact—and isn’t afraid of rolling up your sleeves alongside others who care—this is the moment to step in.
