Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre is seeking passionate volunteers to assist with grocery pickups for our community programs. In this role, you’ll collect essential food supplies from designated store(s) and deliver them to our office, ensuring the Hamilton Road community has access to vital resources. This volunteer position is a meaningful way to contribute to the health and well-being of local residents while supporting a program that fosters community connection.
Report to: Program Coordinator
Commitment: Every Friday, 1hour only
Key Tasks
- Visit the assigned grocery store at scheduled times to collect pre-ordered items.
- Verify that all items match the grocery list before leaving the store. Safely load and transport groceries using your personal vehicle. Deliver groceries to Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre and assist in unloading as required.
- Provide feedback about the pickup process to staff.
Desired Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess valid Driver's license and insurance
- Vulnerable Sector Check clearance
- Clean driving record
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 20 kg (if required)
