Are you passionate about creating safe, welcoming, and well-organized spaces for communities? Join our team as a Health & Safety Coordinator Volunteer and help ensure our events are prepared, accessible, and safe for attendees, volunteers, vendors, and staff.
Responsibilities:

Assist with developing event health and safety plans and procedures

Support risk assessments and identify potential safety concerns

Help create safety guidelines and resources for volunteers and event teams

Assist with communicating safety expectations and procedures

Monitor safety practices during events and report concerns to the appropriate team members

Support incident documentation and response procedures when needed

Collaborate with coordinators to promote a safe, inclusive, and accessible event environment
Skills & Experience:

Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Environmental Health, Emergency Management, Nursing/Healthcare, Event Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Interest or experience in health and safety, risk management, emergency planning, healthcare, event operations, or related fields

Knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulations is an asset

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Ability to remain calm, practical, and solution-oriented in unexpected situations

Experience with safety planning, accessibility, or emergency procedures is an asset
