Merrymount Family Support & Crisis Centre is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the Annual Merrymount Golf Classic. This community fundraising event brings together golfers, sponsors, and supporters for a full day on the course in support of Merrymount’s Child Mental Wellness Program.
Event day volunteers will play an important role in helping the tournament run smoothly and creating a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Responsibilities may include:
• Welcoming and directing golfers and guests upon arrival
• Assisting with event registration and check-in
• Supporting setup and takedown of event materials and signage
• Helping monitor activity and contest holes throughout the course
• Assisting with raffle, silent auction, or prize table support
• Providing general event support to staff, sponsors, and participants as needed
No prior golf or event experience is required. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive attitude are the most important qualities we are looking for. Volunteers will work alongside Merrymount staff and fellow community members, with guidance provided on-site. Light physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, and being outdoors for extended periods may be involved. Individuals with experience in customer service, event support, hospitality, recreation, fundraising, or community engagement are especially encouraged to volunteer.
This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours, gain event experience, and support a meaningful community fundraiser. All proceeds from the event directly support Merrymount’s Child Mental Wellness Program, helping provide free, 24/7 care to children and youth experiencing or at risk of mental health challenges.
