The Top 20 Basketball Showcase brings together talented athletes, coaches, and community members for a day of high-level basketball competition and development. Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Volunteer Positions Available
Setup Crew (15 Volunteers)
Time:9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Set up basketball courts and event spaces
- Arrange tables, chairs, signage, and equipment
- Prepare registration and hospitality areas
- Assist vendors with basic setup as needed
- Ensure the facility is ready before participants arrive
Scorekeepers (3 Volunteers)
Time:11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Keep accurate score during showcase games
- Record game results
- Communicate with officials and event staff as needed
Ideal for volunteers who are attentive to detail and comfortable following game action.
Registration Table (4 Volunteers)
Time:11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome athletes, coaches, and guests
- Check in participants
- Distribute event information and materials
- Answer general questions
- Direct attendees to appropriate areas
Ideal for volunteers with strong customer service and communication skills.
Snack Table (2 Volunteers)
Time:11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute snacks and refreshments
- Monitor inventory
- Keep the area clean and organized
- Follow food safety practices
Athlete Lounge & Vendor Area (2 Volunteers)
Time:11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome athletes and vendors
- Help maintain a clean and organized lounge
- Replenish refreshments as needed
- Answer questions and assist with general needs
- Support vendors throughout the event
Coaches' Lounge (1 Volunteer)
Time:11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and welcoming lounge
- Assist coaches with general questions or requests
- Support event staff as needed
Cleanup Crew (10 Volunteers)
Time:4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Take down tables, chairs, signage, and equipment
- Pack supplies
- Assist with loading materials
- Return the facility to its original condition
- Help ensure the event concludes safely and efficiently
Volunteer Requirements
- Minimum age: 14 years (or organization's minimum volunteer age)
- Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift light to moderate items is an asset for setup and cleanup roles
