The London Community Resource Centre (LCRC) is a charitable organisation in London, ON, dedicated to building community through food education and security. Our Grow Cook Learn program offers hands-on cooking classes that promote nutrition literacy, foster community connections, and empower individuals. We encourage you to apply if you have a passion for food, sustainability, and social change!

The Impact of This Role

As a small non-profit, our website is our digital "front door." It is the primary way community members find and access our free programmes, how grantors evaluate our impact, and how we receive the donations that keep our workshops running. By volunteering your technical skills, you are directly helping us feed and empower our neighbours.

Timeline and Commitment

This is a project-based role with a flexible schedule. While we do not have fixed weekly hours, we are hoping to complete this project as soon as possible to better support our community outreach and donation goals. We will work with you to establish a timeline that fits your schedule while moving the project forward.

How to Apply

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send an email to lcrc@lcrc.on.ca with the following:

  • A Brief Introduction: Tell us a little bit about yourself, your interest in the LCRC, and why you would like to volunteer your time for this specific project.
  • Resume/CV: Please attach a current resume highlighting your technical experience.
  • Portfolio: Provide links to previous websites you have designed or a digital portfolio of your work.

Please note: This role involves an interview process to ensure a good fit for both the volunteer and the organisation. Once we have reviewed your information, if LCRC decides to move forward, we will reach out to schedule a conversation.

Your support is greatly appreciated. We can sign volunteer forms or provide a certificate to declare your hours. Please feel free to forward this opportunity to anyone else who may be interested in joining us!

If you have any questions, you can email us at lcrc@lcrc.on.ca.
