The Museum of Ontario Archaeology (MOA), in partnership with the Ontario Archaeological Society (OAS), is seeking an enthusiastic Community Engagement Director to enhance public engagement, strengthen community relationships, and support the organizational growth of both institutions. This one-year, full-time position (with
opportunity for renewal), administered by the MOA and based at 1600 Attawandaron Road in London, Ontario, will play a vital role in expanding the museum’s outreach efforts while also fulfilling key administrative functions for the OAS. The successful candidate will assist with developing and delivering public programs, managing digital engagement, coordinating community partnerships, and supporting the operational needs and mandates of both organizations.

• Meet the eligibility criteria of the funder including you are:
o between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position;
o a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred;
o Have a valid SIN
o International students, and those who are here in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit are not eligible for the program.
• Have completed secondary school or are currently working toward an undergraduate degree, graduate degree or community college diploma in business and/or social services or equivalent and have one year of related experience in a business, social services, sales or educational setting;
• Reliable transportation to provide services. A vehicle is required.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution and people management skills;
• Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, family members, and the general public;
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability;
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;
• Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills;
• A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening Criminal Reference Check;
• Must be able to provide proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccination or documentation for a medical exemption or reason related to protected grounds under the Human Rights Code as per Provincial Health Care regulations
The contract will be 16 weeks in length (35 hours per week with an hourly of $18.20). The start and end dates are between May and August 2025. The role is predominantly located in-person at Leads’ London office. Flexible working arrangements (including some remote work) may be considered.

The Summer Survey Interviewer is responsible for the following duties: deliver survey questions as directed; make calls to contact survey participants; gather information from survey participants; complete data entry for reports; ensure that all legislated acts guidelines are being followed and adhere to the overall mission and values of the organization; conduct various clerical and office work such as faxing, mailing, filing, photocopying, etc.; create, maintain and update electronic databases; registration and audit of applications; support the development of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee; support building resources for Pawlooza and be available during the month of August; any other duties as assigned.
