Clayworx Ceramic Arts Learning Centre
Open since 2009, Clayworx operates out of a beautifully renovated Victorian-era building in the heart of London’s historic Old East Village (OEV). Clayworx is a charitable organization that inspires curiosity and discovery around clay and the ceramic arts. Annually, we provide the space, equipment, services, and programs for thousands of people in our community from diverse backgrounds to learn about and practice the world's most ancient art form under the expert guidance and care of 130 Clayworx members who pursue ceramic art as passionate hobbyists, semi-professionals, and professional artists. Every day, in our classrooms, studios, retail store, and neighborhood, we deepen the connection between people and clay with quality programs and exciting public art projects.
10 Year Vision: By 2032, we will be recognized as a centre of excellence for the education, practice, and appreciation of the ceramic art form.
25 Year Vision: By 2047, we will be mentors, influencers, and supporters who bring the importance of ceramics into the consciousness of every Canadian.
Mission: We aspire to give everyone access to exceptional educational, artistic, and community-building experiences with clay and ceramic art.
We believe working with clay empowers people to embrace their inner creativity, transforming how they feel about themselves and the connection between art and community-building.
