Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness in London
The Unity Project provides emergency shelter and transitional housing for men, women and youth aged 18 and over. Our secular, home-like and participatory program is open and staffed 24 hours every day and operates every day by the values of respect, cooperation, interdependence and compassion. Residents maintain personal accountability for taking care of themselves, each other and community while frontline staff work to help each manage a personal action plan for stability and independence. More intensive supports are offered through Housing and Life Skills programming and Unity Project manages the Housing Selection and Stability component within the collaborative London CAReS program.
Unity Project shelters 50 - 60 individuals per night, manages 25-75 episodes of drop-in and crisis support, and serves approximately 1000 individuals annually across all programming.
