The Struggle of Indigenous Mothers

Truth & Reconciliation: How Indigenous Mothers struggle to keep their history and culture alive in present times.

Indigenous Mothers have lost so much through the residential school system and our European systems of healthcare and social care continue to make it a struggle for Indigenous Mothers to raise their children in a way that honours their heritage and traditions.

Indigenous mothering has been lost. In our privileged lifestyle, we must seek a greater understanding of the needs of Indigenous Mothers and look for ways to support them as they learn and reconnect with their traditions.
