Tactics for Great Video Content

Every organization has a story to share, and with more and more social platforms pushing video content it is time to think about how to share that story with video content. Creating engaging video content doesn't have to be overly difficult or complicated. You likely have all the tools you need right in your pocket. Sometimes it just takes the right approach and some helpful tips to push your content to the next level. 

In this session, we will discuss tactics to create compelling content and also provide some technical advice to get you started without breaking the bank.

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Understand the importance of video content: Recognize the significance of video content in today's digital landscape and its impact on audience engagement and brand storytelling.
  • Identify your organization's unique story: Learn how to identify and extract compelling narratives and messages from your organization's history, culture, and values to create meaningful video content.
  • Choose suitable platforms for video content: Evaluate different social media platforms and determine the most effective ones for distributing video content based on their target audience and objectives.
  • Create engaging video content: Learn various techniques to craft visually appealing and emotionally compelling video content that resonates with viewers and encourages them to take action.
  • Utilize cost-effective tools and resources: Discover affordable and accessible equipment, software, and resources to produce high-quality video content without exceeding their budget.
  • Apply storytelling principles to video production: Learn storytelling techniques and apply them to video production, including narrative arcs, emotional hooks, and character development.
  • Incorporate branding elements: Understand how to integrate branding elements effectively into video content to enhance brand identity and recognition.

With over 15 years of experience encompassing digital content creation, project management, resource utilization, and people leadership, Jason’s ability to analyze needs and create unique solutions has proven to be one of his greatest assets. Jason is well-versed in emerging trends and takes on every task with great command for the larger objective. In his previous role, Jason oversaw the construction, roll-out, day to day operations, and subsequent acquisition and ownership transfer of a small chain of retail stores. Prior to that, he spent eight years serving in the marketing department of the Stratford Festival as the Digital Media Producer. Jason can often be found camping with his wife and kids, at the curling rink in the winter, and the baseball field in the summer.
