Welcoming & Inclusive Workplaces: How to Recruit and Retain Talent

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Canada’s employment sector and the world of work has been forever changed. The labour market is growing at an exponential rate, our economy is recovering, and now more than ever, Canada is relying on newcomers to fill labour gaps. Diversity, equity and inclusion in workplaces has become increasingly important to employees, and are highly sought after qualities in employers of choice.

In our Welcoming and Inclusive Workplaces webinar, we will focus on information and best practices in creating welcoming and inclusive spaces within the workplace in order to attract candidates, foster overall job satisfaction for new hires, and retain skilled employees.

Speakers will each share about challenges they've encountered, and the best practices they've used to overcome them. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Our guest speakers for this session include:

  • Roger Faulkner - President, Owner & General Manager of General Coach Canada
  • Tarndeep Singh - Social Research/Project Assistant, Sarnia-Lambton Local Immigration Partnership
  • Eric Kontoh - Human Resources Manager, Walters Group
  • Josiah Barkhouse - Present, JB Global Market

Our emcee for this event is:

  • Maggie Elliott - Social Planner, Sarnia-Lambton Local Immigration Partnership

We are excited to see you there!

This webinar is brought to you through a collaboration of Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) of Southwestern Ontario and Will Immploy – A project of Will Employment Solutions.
