Accounts Receivable Coordinator

The Organization: 

For over 40 years, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (BTFC) has been dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering everyone affected by a brain tumour while funding research and advocating for better outcomes. Our vision is to find the cause of and a cure for brain tumours while improving the quality of life for those affected. 

The Role:  6 Month Contract (London-based/Hybrid) 

Reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for processing and reconciling incoming revenue, primarily related to fundraising activity and events, including the Brain Tumour Walk. 

This role focuses on high-volume transaction processing, reconciliation, and revenue accuracy during a busy operational period. The position plays a key role in ensuring that donation-related revenue is recorded correctly, deposits are completed on time, and financial records are complete and reliable. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Accounts Receivable & Revenue Processing 

  • Process incoming revenue accurately and in a timely manner, including cheques, EFTs, and credit card transactions. 

  • Prepare daily deposits and ensure funds are recorded correctly in financial systems. 

  • Perform batch coding, data entry, and batch committing in Raiser’s Edge and AKA (Raisin) in accordance with internal controls. 

  • Reconcile revenue between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge to ensure completeness and accuracy. 

  • Track and follow up on discrepancies, missing information, or unapplied payments. 

  • Support revenue tracking and reporting related to fundraising events and campaigns, including the Brain Tumour Walk. 

Event & Fundraising Revenue Support 

  • Support the Fund Development team during the busy Brain Tumour Walk season by ensuring event-related revenue is processed and reconciled accurately and on time. 

  • Assist with monitoring event-related revenue to ensure completeness and timely follow-up on outstanding or unclear transactions. 

  • Maintain clear and organized records to support internal reporting and year-end requirements. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience: 

  • Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Experience in accounts receivable, revenue processing, or transaction-focused accounting roles. 

  • Experience working with Raiser’s EdgeFinancial Edge, and/or AKA (Raisin), or the ability to learn new systems quickly. 

  • Strong comfort with reconciliations, batch processing, and financial accuracy. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes. 

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy during peak periods. 

  • Professional judgment and ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately.
