WILL Employment Solutions (WILL) is seeking a Business and Data Analystto enhance our data tracking process and reporting capabilities. This role involves analyzing business processes, improving data tracking processes, and supporting the organization with data reporting usingTracker(internal data tracking software),Microsoft Access and Power BI, and any external funder-required data tracking software.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the Business and Data Analyst will collaborate with internal staff, committees, and external software developers to optimize Tracker and data tracking processes. This is a critical role that ensures efficient and accurate data management and reporting across all departments within the organization to fulfill the mission of WILL.
WHO ARE YOU?
- College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience
- Ideally you have 2 - 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, process optimization or a related role
- Experience working with not-for-profit organizations with multiple funding envelopes is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Access for data reporting and visualization is an asset
- Knowledge of customized database with SQL Server data extraction techniques is an asset
- Knowledge of database management and data integrity principles
- Vulnerable police check is required
- Highly analytical, detail oriented, and process-driven
- A strategic thinker with ability to understand and balance competing priorities across the whole organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical language into simple terms for non-technical audiences and vice versa
- A change-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and commitment to excellence

OUR ASK?
- Act as the primary liaison between internal staff, committees, and the external software developer
- Consult with the Management Team regarding the strategic direction of Data Governance
- Consult with staff and end users to identify Tracker and data reporting needs
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all services and programs offered by WILL
- Bring Tracker and process updates to The Tracker Working Group through monthly meetings
- Organize and schedule meetings, and communicate updates effectively
- Support the Data Governance Committee to set strategic data management and reporting direction, including updating WILL’s Impact Metrics and managing data integrity and risks
- Support the Data Process Committee to oversee and manage all data tracking processes
- Evaluate and improve data tracking and reporting processes across internal and external data tracking software to enhance efficiency and usability
- Work closely with the external software developer to recommend and implement improvements to Tracker
- Query, analyze, and interpret data usingMicrosoft Access and Power BIto create accessible reports and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain data reports for various departments to support organizational decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems.
