Employment Sector Council Project Coordinator

(Part Time, Aug 1, 2024 - Jun 30, 2025)


The Employment Sector Council (ESC) and WILL Employment Solutions are looking to add a Project Coordinator to our team.

The successful candidate will report to the ESC Project Manager and will be responsible for coordinating ESC training efforts, including marketing and promotion, supporting facilitators, scheduling and coordinating workshops and other professional development (PD) sessions, and related activities as determined by ESC partners and the Project Manager.

The Project Coordinator will support ESC in delivering products, services and supports which enhance new and evolving employment service skills, labour market knowledge, and other organizational and staff supports required for Employment Service Providers to best assist employers, job seekers, students and workers.


WHO ARE YOU? 

  • Must have well-developed organization, time management and planning skills.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of regional employment sector and services.
  • Knowledge of local labour market conditions and current economic trends.
  • Approachable and collaborative style that supports trust and integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience in (and an understanding of) the employment and social services sectors, particularly in areas of community awareness and community economic development.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Willingness to travel and support field work where necessary.
  • Intellectual curiosity and innovation. 

 

OUR ASK? 

  • Be available to work 20-hour per week starting August 1, 2024.
  • Coordinate and execute ESC training, PD expansion, and other project work described above.
  • Moderate and facilitate meetings in person and remotely.
  • Assist with ESC website(s), information-sharing, marketing and communication materials, and social media strategy.
  • Accurate and respectful maintenance of ESC records and data.
  • Support ESC Project Manager with budgets to ensure cost-efficiencies.
  • Build partnerships and participate in ESC meetings and presentations.
  • Support for ESC Project Manager, Committees and other initiatives as required.
  • Manage multiple tasks, under tight deadlines.
