Service Navigator - Front Desk

St. Leonard’s Community Services (SLCS) is currently seeking a full-time Service Navigator – Front Desk to work out of our head office. Reporting to the Executive Administrator, the Service Navigator – Front Desk is accountable for supporting St. Leonard’s Community Services (SLCS) program participants, staff, and the London community to navigate and connect to a broad spectrum of services within the agency or outward to the broader community. The Service Navigator will also be responsible for the day-to-day preparation and administrative support of SLCS’ Psychiatry Clinic as well as provide everyday office administrative support.

A professional with strong office administration skills and a background in front-line support for marginalized communities, with a strong capacity for collaboration and networking will excel in this role. You will provide team members, program participants and community members with assistance in navigating complex systems. You will be knowledgeable in regards to navigating the health care system and other social service agencies. This role would also include networking and rapport building with other agencies and community services across London and region.

In supporting the Psychiatry Clinic, you will receive internal referrals, screen individuals seeking service, schedule appointments and administer client files. Greeting participants and assisting them in maintaining their OHIP eligibility will be essential to this role. Support will also include charting and case noting, liaising with pharmacies and analyzing program data to evaluate programming and services.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a systems navigation position or a position that provides trauma-informed responses to diverse populations, including individuals impacted by mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, conflict with the justice system, and homelessness.
  • Office administration experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of community agencies and resources.
  • Standard First Aid /CPR with AED - Level C
  • Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset with preference given to those with French language ability.
