Manually sending renewal reminders

Upon launch of Civi (Feb 19, 2014), members will receive automated reminders when they need to renew.

But, all of the members who expired before this launch need to have them sent manually.

There is a "smart group" called Expired/Grace organization members.
Use mailings, new mailing.
Select this smart group, and when you get to template, select the renewal notice one.

The smart group is generated every time from the rules - organization memberships, grace or expired.  Does not need to be maintained.  It is listed with the other groups under Contacts.

After this, they will get the scheduled reminders.
