Hutton House Association for Adults with Disabilities is a registered charity with over 70 years of experience supporting adults with disabilities to achieve their goals and aspirations. Volunteering with Hutton House is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities while gaining valuable skills and hands-on experience. Volunteers play a vital role in advancing our mission, and together we foster a more inclusive, supportive community for all.
We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to support our Adult Education and Learning Programs in the following roles:
One-on-One Tutor
Seeking: 1 volunteer, 1 hour per week
Location: 499 Hill St. London, ON N6B 1E8
Tutors are matched with learners based on shared interests, skills, and learning goals. In this role, you will build a positive, supportive relationship while helping learners work toward individualized goals at a basic to intermediate level. Common areas of support include:
- Counting and managing money
- Basic addition and subtraction
- Improving reading and literacy skills
- Math goals such as division and working with fractions
The Learning Club Assistant
Seeking: 1 volunteer to commit 1 hour every Friday 10:30-11:30am
Location: 499 Hill St. London, ON N6B 1E8
Volunteers support participants with individual literacy goals and assist with group learning activities.
All volunteers must complete a criminal record check.
