Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and execute a long-term strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission.
  • Active Governance: Participate in regular board and committee meetings, lending your voice and expertise to discussions on key decisions, policies, and initiatives.
  • Oversight & Accountability: Assist in the oversight of organizational performance, financial health, and legal compliance.
  • Community Engagement: Act as a public-facing representative for the organization, advocating for our mission and building strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community.
  • Resource Development: Help support fundraising efforts and identify new opportunities for growth and sustainability.
  • Board and Committee Participation: Actively participate in monthly Board meetings (approximately 2 hours) and relevant committee work. The total time commitment is about 6 hours per month.
Skills Preferred: 
• Proven experience in a leadership or strategic role.
• A strong commitment to the organization's mission and values.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to think critically, solve problems, and contribute to a collaborative environment.
