TAP Centre for Creativity is committed to building a community around emerging artists, where presentation and education in diverse art forms sparks artistic, social, and economic change. Our mission is to transform our community by providing a creative hub for emerging artists in multiple disciplines, where quality facilities and innovative programs nourish passions, mentor creators, and overcome barriers to creativity.

Emerging artists thrive when artistic freedom is guaranteed, and the risk of financial failure is minimized. TAP provides studio, gallery, and theatre space where artists and arts collectives can affordably work, learn, exhibit, or perform, and receive feedback that is essential to launching and developing their careers.

Here at TAP we invite the community to support, participate and engage in our artistic programs. Through educational classes, festivals, and special events; TAP fuels imagination, enabling community members to not only appreciate the arts, but also create it!

TAP Centre for Creativity is particularly interested in people with skills or experience in the following areas:

  • Construction and/or building management 

  • Fundraising and donor relations 

  • Communications, marketing and social media 

  • Human Resources 

  • Governance and policy development 

New board members must be willing to attend a monthly board meeting held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:30-9:00am, and to participate in committee work.

  • Current résumé

  • Short statement outlining why you would be interested in becoming a member of the TAP Centre for Creativity Board of Directors

Board terms are a minimum of 2 years, and renewable. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place late October and early November. Board Director positions would commence at the next Board Meeting. All applications will be acknowledged.
