Position Summary:
SWIM is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our Event Team for an upcoming major community event. This role will help ensure that the event runs smoothly, is well-organized, and delivers an unforgettable experience for our attendees.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of the event, including logistics, schedules, and vendor management.

Support registration, attendee management, and on-site event operations.

Help coordinate volunteers and ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.

Liaise with sponsors, community partners, and stakeholders to support event objectives.

Set up and manage event spaces, including signage, seating, and technical equipment (AV, microphones, presentations).

Capture photos and videos during the event for social media and post-event reports.

Ensure a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.

Assist with post-event clean-up and documentation of feedback for future events.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or community engagement is an asset.

Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize tasks under pressure.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with diverse groups.

Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing needs on-site.

Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support a cause-focused organization.
